Pick Up Service

Our property manager Ivan has a pickup service at either airport, and will pick you up upon request. Once you make your booking, just inform us if you need pick-up service

Car Rental

The easiest and cheapest way to rent a car, while on vacation in Kumbor, is via our propertymanager, Ivans company, Property Service. This way the car will be delivered to you - or perhaps waiting for you on the apartment parking lot, upon arrival. No hassel on delivery either, the car can be left at the apartment after use and Ivan will sort it out.  In case you need a car on your vacation, let us know and we will provide the contact.  Check prices on website here!

Tourist Tax

COMPULSORY GOVERNMENT TOURIST TAX

It sounds like a scam, but unfortunately the government has imposed this tax on all tourist, and has put a system in place, that is a bit of an inconvinience for people staying in private apartments.

In short you will have to go to a tourist agency, bringing all passports and register and pay for everyone and very important, get the recipt which you may be required to show before exiting the country. The closest tourist agency is in the big round-about in Meljine, 4 km down the road towards Herceg Novi, and is more like a 4 x 4 m booth, then an actual office. See welcome book upon arrival for map and specific directions. Ivan, our property manager may on occation be able to help you with this.

Here are the facts:

Visitors to Montenegro holding a passport of any kind other than Montenegrin are subject to a daily tourist tax. The price of the tax varies depending on the season (it is increased during the summer season). Currently the winter price is EUR 0.50 per day and summer EUR 0.70 per day per person. Children under 12 there is no charge, and and children from 12 to 18 pay half of the tourist tax. You may be asked to show the reciept upon leaving the country, so it is recommended to visit a tourist agency and register within the first 24 hours if possible of your stay. Guidelines are quite strict and we advise you not to wait until the last day of your stay to register.  Despite the advice given in some guidebooks it is no longer necessary to register your stay with the police, but in stead with the Tourist agency office.                                Source: Montenegro Travel Service

Money

The currency used in MonteNegro is Euro and they accept Visa and Mastercard in most locations. The closest ATM machine is on the boardwalk in Denovici, 1,4 km from the apartment.  Click here for location on map.

Shopping

For the daily shopping, the easiest is to go in the boardwalk in front of the apartment, where there is a supermarket and a few shops for the most common foods and items neede on vacation. For the big shopping trip, we recommend going to Roda Mega Market, located  on the road to Herceg Novi. Click here for directions on map.

Boats and trips

You can rent a boat or book yourself on a boat trip around the bay and beaches. Information on this can be found in the Out and About folder in the apartment or there are lots of signs on the boardwalk. Your best option is the same as everything else - ask Ivan. He'll know a guy
